Our Legal Officer; Kikelomo Lamidi was at the Solidarity for African Women’s Rights (SOAWR) Annual General Meeting held from the 27th – 29th of January 2020 in Nairobi, Kenya.

The Solidarity for African Women’s Rights (SOAWR) is a regional membership-based network of organisations across Africa working to advance the promotion and protection of women’s rights in Africa. Since its establishment, SOAWR has worked to ensure that African states ratify, domesticate and implement the Protocol to the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights on the Rights of Women in Africa (Maputo Protocol).

The SOAWR 2020 AGM was for coalition members to; reflect on the achievements made so far under the Strategic Plan 2013-2018; critique, reflect on and analyze SOAWR’s achievements, challenges and activities for the past fifteen years; share experiences, contribute and discuss ideas for the 2020- 2024 plan.
